Identification
Adult aphid midges look like mosquitos with long curled antennae. The larvae which consume the aphids are small and orange and long relative to their size. The eggs are small and orange.
How to attract
Eggs can be purchased mixed with sand and sprinkled over plants/soil. They require warm and humid conditions and 16+ hours of light. They should be sprinkled 3 times in spring. They require drinking water and nectar.
