About Classic Green Onion

Also known as scallions, these onions have a mild flavor that is a fan favorite for garnishing meals. Green onions require 6 or more hours of sunlight and a moist soil environment. If planting is started indoors, plant about 6 to 8 seeds 8 to 10 weeks before the end of spring frost, and then transfer each bunch to the garden 6 in. apart.
