Spring Onion
Spring onions are a great addition to elevate the flavor of many dishes.
About Spring Onion
Spring onions, while similar in appearance to green onions, tend to be stronger in taste. Both the bulb (which can be white, yellow, or red) and the stem are edible. They are of the Allium variety, and should be pulled early (about 40 to 50 days after planting the seed), so that the outer protective layer hasn’t yet formed. They require proper draining soil, full sun, and an acidic pH between 6 and 7.
