This dent/flour corn yields visually striking ears in a spectrum of greens, ranging from yellow-green to deep emerald, with each kernel featuring a distinct dimple. Historically cultivated for centuries, its deeply dented kernels are traditionally processed into flour for authentic tamales, tortillas, and also produce excellent cornbread. The 6- to 10-inch ears are also highly valued for decorative purposes, while the plants themselves demonstrate good drought tolerance.
