Bright emerald green dry beans are delicious in soups or eaten as a green bean. 5- to 6- inch pods yield kidney-shaped beans in the most dazzling gemstone colors of the plant kingdom. Drought and heat tolerant, the bean originated in Kenya where its name, Mbombo, has an association to a Creator God of the same name. The bean is thought to be a sign of prosperity and brings good fertility to the soil. Great for a trellis or small fence.
