(Capsicum annuum). 60-75 days. A wonderful, chocolate-colored sweet pepper developed by Elwyn Meader and introduced by the University of New Hampshire Agricultural Experiment Station in 1965. These oblong peppers ripen from green to a rich brown and have a deliciously sweet taste. Perfect for northern gardens, as they ripen early in cooler climates.
