About Cascade Harvest

In 2014, the Washington State University released the Cascade Harvest floricane raspberry variety. Cascade Harvest grows a larger berry with very well flavored fruit. The variety is lighter in color which allows a more flexible use. Plant breeder, Dr. Patrick Moore, selected Cascade Harvest for its exceptional firmness of the fruit that is well adapted for machine and hand harvesting. The variety has excellent yield and has shown superior disease resistance to its predecessors, Meeker and Willamette. The plant of the Cascade Harvest variety grows upright which facilitates plant management and makes it easy to harvest.
