Rubus idaeus
Raspberries are among the most delicious, easy-to-grow, and delicate berries. Raspberries can grow in a large variety of planting zones. Summer-bearing raspberries grow one crop per season (in the summer) whereas ever-bearers grow two crops (one in summer, one in fall).

Growing from Seed
It is not recommended that home gardeners attempt to grow raspberrries from seed.
Planting Considerations
Raspberries can spread rather invasively if left unchecked. Some gardeners choose to plant their raspberrries in the middle of the yard so the lawn mower can prevent spread. In cold climates, he best time to plant red raspberries is in the fall. Plant other types of raspberries in the early spring once the soil is workable.
Feeding
None required.
Harvesting
Harvest berries when they turn red, preferably on dry and sunny days.
Storage
Raspberries last approximately 5 days in the refrigerator. They can also be frozen or made into jam.
