Most native bees are solitary rather than living in hives, most don't sting, and they have a variety of appearances based on species type.
How to attract
Bees require a shallow source of water to drink from, bee boxes for shelter, and unmulched soil for bees to nest in. They require patches of 3x3 ft or larger of flowers to effectively pollinate. Avoid using fungicide, insecticide, herbicides when attracting bees.
