About Aichi First
(Solanum lycopersicum). This classic Japanese variety is the perfect blend of history and taste! The fruits feature a distinctive pointed tip, which can be variable but is most pronounced in cooler weather. The heavy, pink-red tomatoes are firm, sweet, and crisp, offering a rich, full old school flavor. Highly productive, this heirloom is believed to trace its roots to Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, in 1938. A mid-season, indeterminate variety with regular leaves, this pink heirloom produces medium-sized fruits weighing up to approximately 1/2 pound each.
