(Citrullus lanatus). Very unique spotted rind, with very crisp, sweet red flesh that bursts with rich, old-time watermelon flavor! One of the best melons we’ve tried in the last few years. Truly a winner! It used to be grown commercially, and was offered by several seed companies in the 1960s but has since become nearly extinct.
