Chinese Forget-Me-Not
Cynoglossum amabile
Traditionally known for its blue flowers (white and pink varieties are available), Chinese Forget-me-not blooms on tall stems with showy sprays of small, funnel-shaped blooms. It is an excellent cut flower and looks best in a cottage or naturalized garden where it can self-seed freely. A cool weather pollinating plant, they will wane in summer heat. Chinese forget-me-not (Cynoglossum amabile) has a blue eye, compared to naturalized forget-me-not (Myosotis scorpioides) which is lighter blue with a yellow eye. Chinese forget-me-not is toxic for people and livestock.
