Persian Cress
Lepidium sativium
Airy stems covered with tiny white flowers that turn into tiny silvery coins make Persian cress a stunning filler in arrangements. Although the stems are remarkably sturdy, plants will benefit from horizontal netting. Persian cress leaves are edible with a mild peppery flavor.

Growing from Seed
Sow seeds outside as soon as soil can be worked. Direct sowing is recommended. Sow Persian cress every two weeks through the summer for continuous blooms.
Harvesting
Harvest fresh stems in flower or when seeds pods are mature. Cress is a good dried flower: pick when seed pods are mature and hang to dry.
