How can I plant different plants in the same space?

Learn how to plant multiple plants in the same garden square

Planter now supports intercropping different plants in the same garden square!

Note: Intercropping is only available in the new Gardens 2.0 garden format and is a Planter Premium feature. Convert your existing garden plans to be able to use intercropping.


  1. Select a Plant to Intercrop With

    Select Garden Section

    Tap on a plant in the garden to bring up the action menu.

  2. Choose Intercrop Option

    Choose Intercrop Option

    From the circular action menu, tap the "Intercrop" option.

  3. Select Plant(s) to Intercrop

    Select Intercrop Plants

    In the Select plants screen, locate and select the plant(s) you wish to intercrop (up to 4 additional plants can be added per square).

  4. Intercropping With Larger Multi-Square Plants

    Place Plant

    To intercrop plants around a larger, multi-square plant (e.g., tomatoes), repeat the steps above then select the garden square where each intercrop plant should be added.
