How do I use the seed tray tracker?

Starting your own seeds? Now you can track your seed trays in Planter!

Note: The seed tray tracker is a Planter Premium feature.


  1. Create a New Seed Tray

    Create a New Seed Tray

    On the Gardens screen, tap the green "NEW GARDEN" button located at the bottom-right.

  2. Select Seed Tray

    In the "Create new garden" dialog, select "Seed Tray".

  3. Enter a Seed Tray Name

    Enter a Seed Tray Name

    In the "Garden name" field, type a name for the new seed tray.

  4. Choose a Tray Size

    Choose a Tray Size

    Choose a standard seedling tray size or select custom size to specify a custom number of rows and columns.

  5. Open the Select a Plant Menu

    Open Select a Plant Menu

    Tap the green "+ ADD PLANTS" button at the bottom-right of the screen to open the Select a Plant menu.

  6. Select a Plant

    Select a Plant

    Scroll through, search, or filter the plant list to find the desired plant, then long-press on the plant to drag and place it in the seedling tray.

    (Optionally, use quick plant or corner multi-select to quickly add seedlings to more than one cell).

  7. Toggle Seedling Icons Off or On

    Toggle Seedling Icons Off or On

    By default, the seed tray uses seedling icons. To change to plant icons, tap the layers menu in the upper-left of the screen then uncheck the "Seedling icons" checkbox.
