Growing from Seed
Rosemary can be grown from seed or from cuttings. Rosemary seed germination is often very slow and not always successful. For this reason, be sure to either plant a few extra seeds or just plant cuttings. Starting indoors is also generally recommended (vs. direct sowing outside).
Planting Considerations
Plant the seeds/cuttings in well-drained soil.
Feeding
Rosemary usually does not need any additional feeding as long as soil is relatively healthy.
Harvesting
Prune the stems to use fresh. During the winter, bring a rosemary plant indoors. Harvest using scissors and give the herb a “haircut.”
Storage
Leaves can be dried and stored in an airtight container.
